Senior Data Analyst

WiderFunnel is looking for a Senior Data Analyst for our Conversion Optimization Strategy team.

The Senior Data Analyst will help our team and clients discover insights and validate problems in the web and marketing analytics to identify hypotheses for AB testing, as well as bolster the strategy department’s expertise in data & statistics.

A background in statistics is beneficial. You’ll be expected to provide expertise into our internal statistical analyses, as well as support our conversion strategists in identifying customer insights to be validated in controlled A/B experiments, as well as presenting and communicating data insights to clients and external stakeholders.


  • Conduct analyses to identify insights and validate problems to help improve optimization opportunities within client’s web analytics data (e.g. segmentation, customer journey analysis, etc.)
  • Work closely with the optimization strategy team to provide data analysis, reporting, and statistical support.
  • Consult externally on client analytics tool setup and implementation, and develop visualizations and dashboards to report data findings.
  • Understand and participate in the analysis of statistical data models (frequentist vs bayesian models, T-test, etc.) focused on A/B experimentation results analysis.
  • Transform quantitative data into actionable intelligence to drive business insights.
  • Package and present key data insights to strategists and clients.
  • Understand the WiderFunnel Optimization Process and internal processes used.
  • Understand our clients’ business needs and vision in discovering valuable customer insights through data.

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics, Digital and/or Web Analytics, and/or training in advanced digital marketing roles – or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Expert-level knowledge with web analytics tools & implementation like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc. and tag managers (e.g. Google Tag Manager)
  • Working knowledge of statistics and data modelling
  • Experience developing data-driven insights to improve marketing performance across a range of metrics and platforms
  • Passion, energy and enthusiasm to drive results with a team-oriented approach
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and flexible
